Red Raider Football Team Tops First GPAC Preseason Poll

The Great Plains Athletic Conference held its annual football media day Thursday  and Northwestern College was picked to win the GPAC regular season title as voted on by the head coaches.

The Red Raiders earned six of the 10 possible first place votes and totaled 78 points, two points in front of 2011 conference champion Morningside, who earned the other four first place votes. Hastings was picked third with 53 points, followed by a three-way tie for fourth place between Midland, Dakota Wesleyan and Doane.
