Rozeboom, Van Regenmorter, Fuhrman Named To Shrine Bowl Coaching Staff

The Iowa High School Football Coaches Association has selected the Coaches for the 2019 Iowa Shrine All-Star Football Classic. The game will be played Saturday July 20, 2019 at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls starting at 4:00 P.M.


The South Head Coach is Butch Pedersen of West Branch.

Assistant Coaches are Cody Snitker, Iowa Valley, Marengo, Ryan Hetzler, Wilton, Jared Jensen, Sigourney-Keota, Shawn Striegel, Mount Pleasant, and Adam Goodvin, Marshalltown.

The North Head Coach is Jay Rozeboom of West Lyon.

Assistant Coaches are Dale Ploessl Dubuque Senior, Dan Burke of Center Point- Urbana, Tim Van Regenmorter of Sioux Center, Andy Kleema of Nevada, and Mark Fuhrman of South O’Brien, Paullina.

The Coaches have selected 46 players for each Squad. The selections are made from nominations from coaches around the state.

The cheerleading coaches for 2019 are Sandy Norby, Osage, Megan Stumpf from Southeast Valley, Gowrie and Choreographer Kinsey Dinsdale, Waterloo.

The 2019 game will be the 47th Annual All-Star game, which has raised over $2,680,000 for the Shrine Hospitals for Children. There are 19 orthopedic hospitals in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Hawaii, 3 burn centers in the US and 1 unit in the US that treats all types of cases. They have been privileged to have some of the finest football players participate in this prestigious game, with many who have gone on to excel at the college and professional level. Regardless of the score-everyone is a winner in the All-Star game, especially their hospitals.
