Something needs to change. if anyone was at the Sheldon vs South Obrien bball games on saturday they would understand where i am comming from. The officiating was something to be desired with bad calls in both varsity level games. When the fouls half way through the 3rd quarter was sheldon 7 sos 1. You cant tell me that a team is that clean especially sitting in the stands the fans could see that it was all against sheldon and sos was getting away with the same stuff that sheldon was getting called for. All the fans for the team that is getting the fouls called against them will complain and make some noise at the games but it is worse when the other team is doing the exact same thing right in front of the officials and nothing is called then there is a serious integrity issue that should get addressed. Dont get me wrong the officials have a very hard job that i wouldnt be able to do, but if you can not be partial and fair there is no reason to be out there. They have to go to school to learn how to do the job, and just because they do doesnt mean that they can do what they do and not be held accountable. Every team out there has to be accountable for their players and coaches. Its even to the point that a school is awarded a sportsmanship award. so even the fans are accountable. in my opinion the officials should be held to the same standard. what should happen is when the games like that are going on not only the 3 on the floor there should be one in the stands (unkown by the 3 on the floor or the coches) evaluating the officials performance. It would only be fair for the teams playing
