Sheldon Ousted By Sioux Center

warriors logoSioux Center, Iowa — The Sioux Center Warriors opened their tournament trail with a win over the Sheldon Orabs 71-32 in Sioux Center on Saturday evening. The Warriors will play again on Wednesday, February 17th at 7:00 pm against MOC-Floyd Valley in Sioux Center.

Sioux Center opened the game on an early 9-0 run, then the Warriors pushed their lead to a massive 24 points. At the end of the 1st quarter it was 26-2.  At the midway point the advantage was Sioux Center’s, 42-13. After three the Warriors’ lead was 62-18 and Sioux Center would go on to win it 71-32.

The Warriors received a game high 18 points from Lexi Toering and joined in double figures by Jessica Harald with 11 points.

The Orabs were lead by Kayla Van Meeteren with 6 points.

Sioux Center advances to the Class 3A Region 1 Semifinals Wednesday night with an 18-4 record against MOC-Floyd Valley. Sheldon ends their year at 4-18.
