Site Assignments Out For Boys Sectional and District Golf

Site assignments are out for the boys Sectional and District Golf Tournaments. Sectional play will be on Thursday, May 10th and Friday, May 11th with District play on Friday, May 18th.

The Sheldon Orab boys will play in a sectional hosted by Okoboji at Emerald Hills. The rest of the field includes Emmetsburg, Estherville-Lincoln Central, Okoboji, Rock Valley, Sibley-Ocheyedan, West Lyon. and Western Christian. Teams and individuals advancing from the sectionals will play their district meet at Landsmeer Golf Course on Thursday, May 17 at 10:00 AM and will be hosted by Unity Christian High School.

Other area 2A teams will play at Hinton at the Deer Run Golf Course on Friday, May 11th. Those teams include Alta-Aurelia, Cherokee, Hinton, Manson-NW Webster, Pocahontas Area, Sioux Central, Unity Christian, and West Sioux.

Class 1A area golfers will be at two different sites. On Friday, May 11th, Akron-Westfield, Boyden-Hull, Central Lyon, Gehlen Catholic, George-Little Rock, Harris-Lake Park, and Trinity Christian will be at Rolling Hills Country Club. At the Brookside Golf course will be Clay Central-Everly, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, Kingsley-Pierson, MMCRU, Ridge View, South O’Brien and Remsen St. Mary’s. Teams and individuals advancing from the 1A sectionals will play their district meet at Lakeside Golf Course on Thursday, May 17 @ 10:00 AM and will be hosted by St. Edmond, Fort Dodge.

Spencer will host Class 3A area golf teams on Thursday, May 10th at the Spencer Golf and Country Club. Those teams are Algona, Humboldt, LeMars, MOC-Floyd Valley, Sioux Center, Spencer, Spirit Lake, and Storm Lake. Teams and individuals advancing from the sectional will play their district meet at Lake Creek Country Club on Friday, May 18 @ 10:00 AM and will be hosted by Storm Lake.
