Northwest Iowa — The Sheldon Orabs hosted Sibley Ocheyedan in both softball and baseball at the Sheldon complex Friday night and came away with a sweep. Sheldon took the Softball game 14-4 in five innings with the baseball team posting a 12-4 win.
Kelsey Den Hartog and Sami Kleinwolterink both homered to lead the Orabs offensively. Alexa Vanden Hall drove in four runs on the night. Kleinwolterink drove in four as well with Haley Jungers driving in three runs for the Orabs. For the Lady Generals Charlie Palsrok drove in three runs with Jill Berkland driving in a run as well. Kleinwolterink went five innings for the pitching win. She walked 1 and struck out 2. Peyton Crichton was tagged with the loss.
In the baseball match up Matt Buenger, Colby Kleinhesselink and Payton Radke led the offense with a pair of rbi’s each. Logan Heibult and Kyle Lome drive in runs for Sibley Ocheyedan. Ross Van Kley went seven innings for the win. He Struck out 3 and walked 3. Jameson Cosgrove was tagged with the loss going the first 3 innings on the mound for the Generals.
