High school volleyball and college football took center stage Saturday around northwest Iowa.  In high school volleyball, the Sheldon Orabs won all five of their matches at the Algona Tournament.  Here’s how the day went in area sports:

College Football

Northwestern defeated Concordia 30-28.  Northwestern improves to 3-2 in the GPAC, 4-2 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 4-1 in the GPAC, 6-1 overall.

Nebraska Wesleyan defeated Dordt 28-0. Dordt is now 2-5 overall and 0-5 in the GPAC, while Nebraska Wesleyan is 4-2 in the GPAC and 4-3 overall.

Dordt will host Northwestern on Saturday, October 26.

The Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes, 34 to 24.

The USD Coyotes defeated the UNI Panthers 38 to 31.

The Baylor Bears embarrassed the Iowa State Cyclones 71 to 7.
