State Softball Tournament Berths Will Be Earned Monday Night

State Softball Tournament trips are on the line tonight. In the Class 3A Region 1 championship George Little Rock Central Lyon will meet 5th ranked Estherville Lincoln Central at Sheldon tonight.
G-LR-CL comes in at 21-8 following a 5-4 semifinal win over Boyden Hull Rock Valley. E-LC comes in at 26-6. The two teams met at the Spirit Lake Tournament on June 9th with E-LC pulling out an 8-6 win.
Comparing some team numbers G-LR-CL boast a team batting average of .350 with a team era of 3.54. the Mustangs have three players hitting .400 on the season with 3 more above .300.
E-LC has a team batting average of .339 and a team era of 1.42. The Midgets have one player hitting above .500 another above .400 and three more hitting over .300.

In Class 3A Region 1 MOC Floyd Valley will meet Ballard at Wall Lake for the championship. MOC Floyd Valley goes in at 23-5 on the year. They have a team era at 3.30 and a team batting average of .338. Ballard counters with a 31-9 record. The team era stands at 1.10 and the team batting average is at .341.
In Class 1A Region 1 defending State Champion and top ranked Akron Westfield will meet LeMars Gehlen at the LeMars public high school field.
In Class 2A Region 1 it’s Emmetsburg against Lake Mills with the game to be played at Algona Garrigan.
