State Track And Field Results For Friday May 17th

trackDay two of the Iowa boys and girls state track and field meet has seen more strong performances from northwest Iowa athletes.

In the 1A girls distance medley relay Sibley Ocheyedan finished 4th in a time of 4:18.98. Team members include Erin Swenson, Bridget Doeden and Nicole Rozeboom. The winning time was 4:11.52.

In the boys 1A 400 meter hurdles Kyle Standley of West Lyon was second in a time of 55.67. the winning time was 55.17.

In the girls 1A 4 by 200 Central Lyon finished second in 1:49.04. the winning time was 1:47.54. Team members include Tori Figge, Claire Snyder, Morgan Herda and Lexi Ackerman.

In the girls 1A Discus, Micayla TerWee of West Lyon finished 8th, with a throw of 30.17 meters.  Winning distance was 34.11 meters.

In the girls 2A Discus, Robin Vis of Western Christian finished 10th with a throw of 29.33 meters.  Winning distance was 38.43 meters.

In the girsl 3A Shot Put, Ira De Jong of MOC-Floyd Valley had a put of 10.64 meters to finish 6th.  Winning distance was 11.37 meters.

In the boys 2A high jump Jordan Folders of Western was 6th at 6-4. Trevor Kauk of Unity was 10th at 6-2. The winning height was 6-9.

In the girls 2A high jump Anna Keil finished 4th at 5-02. The winning height was 5-05.

In the 2A girls 4 by 200 Sioux Center was 10th in a time of 1:50.02. The winning time was 1:43.92.

In the 3A girls long jump Kaitlin Probst of MOC Floyd Valley was 10th with a leap of 16-3.5. The winning distance was 18-0.

In the girls 3A distance medley MOC Floyd Valley was 10th in a time of 4:17.37.

The MOC Floyd Valley girls 4 by 400 relay team had the fastest time in the  prelims at 4:00.2 with Pella right behind at 4:00.64.
