Carstensen earned three letters playing for the George-Little Rock High School girls’ basketball team. A two-year starter for the Mustangs, Carstensen averaged a team-high 11.3 points per game in leading her team to a 13-12 record, losing in the class 1A regional semifinal. Carstensen also averaged 7.4 rebounds, 1.4 steals and one assist. She shot over 70% from the free throw line for the year and earned all-conference honors as a junior.
Carstensen is a member of the honor roll and plans to major in Athletic Training at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Todd and Lori.
“Taylor is a great young lady and represents the type of person we want in our program,” commented head coach Chris Yaw. “She is an athletic player that attacks the basket well and rebounds the ball well.” Taylor is a relentless worker and will be a positive example of work ethic on our team.”
