Kooi is a 6’3”, 250-pound offensive lineman who earned two letters for the Western Christian High School football team. Kooi helped pave the way for a Wolfpack offense that averaged over six yards per play, totaled 3,349 yards and scored 37 touchdowns. He helped lead his team to back-to-back playoff appearances as a junior and senior. Kooi plans to major in business at Northwestern and is the son of Todd and April.
“Taylor had a very good senior year as a member of the offensive line at Western Christian,” commented head coach Kyle Achterhoff. “He possesses good size and strength and we believe he will continue to improve over the next four years. We are thrilled that Taylor has joined the Red Raider football family.”
