The Nighthawks Remain Perfect And Beat Knights

The Boyden Hull Rock Valley Nighthawks beat the Unity Christian Knights 54-0 at Korver Field in Orange City Friday night.
The game started off quickly for the Nighthawks as they took a 27-0 lead after running back Miguel Alvarado scored 4 straight touchdowns. Miguel Alvarado scored on runs of 4, 25, 64, and 15 yards. He had 144 yards rushing in the first half before he was shut down in the second half.
The Nighthawks added two more scores before the end of the first half with a 38 yard drive capped by a 1 yard touchdown run by John Harmsen, that drive took 2:50. Brandt Van Roekel added his own score finishing a 75 yard drive that took 1:13 on a 44 yard touchdown run. The score at the half was 41-0 in favor of the Nighthawks.
With the continuous running clock in the second half the Nighthawks added two more scores. The first score was a 24 yard quarterback keeper by Andrew Van Ginkel. Logan Steins added to the tally with a 14 yard touchdown run making the final score 54-0 in favor of the Nighthawks.
The defense has now not allowed a single point in 2 games, the Nighthawks held the Knights to less than 50 yards of total offense for the game.
Next week the 2nd ranked Nighthawks will have homecoming (4-0, 2-0 in District) and will host 4th ranked Spirit Lake in Hull. Unity Christian (0-4, 0-2 in District) will play at Sioux Center next week.
