Timmermans Transfers To Dordt

Allison Timmermans, a graduate of Unity Christian High School, has transferred from Wayne State College, and will join the Defender volleyball program.

Timmermans graduated from Unity in 2017 after earning first-team all-state honors for the 2016 season and she was a third-team all-state pick in 2015. She claimed first-team all-conference honors from 2014-16 and was an all-district selection in both 2015 and 2016. Timmermans was the 2016 Sioux City Journal Volleyball Player of the Year and finished her high school career with 2,091 assists, 279 blocks and 166 ace serves. She competed for the Wayne State Wildcats in 2017 and 2018 and played in 18 matches as a rightside hitter and averaged right at one kill per set.

“Alli joined us this spring and has provided a great role for us in setting. We see a wonderful fit for her on the right side with setting as well as blocking and attacking. It is so wonderful to have Alli join us in a transfer role as she was a high profile athlete out of high school. While we did not have her join us right out of high school, we are thrilled she has found a great home here at Dordt. She will impact us greatly as she strives to serve the Lord and others through her education degree and role in our volleyball program,” said Dordt coach Chad Hanson.

Allison is the daughter of Ken and Patty Timmermans of Orange City, Iowa. She plans to study Education at Dordt.
