Van Heuvelen Signs With Northwestern Football

Northwestern logoOrange City, Iowa — Ross Van Heuvelen has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Van Heuvelen is a 6’3”, 175-pound wide receiver and defensive back who played two years for Western Christian High School. Van Heuvelen totaled 10 tackles in just three games played due to injury his senior season. He was part of a Wolfpack team that won the class 1A state championship and finished with a 12-1 overall record. An honor roll student, Van Heuvelen plans to major in Business/Finance at Northwestern. He is the son of Brad and Lisa.

“Ross missed a large part of his senior season due to injury but was able to return for the final games and help his team win a state championship,” said head Northwestern coach Matt McCarty. “He is a very good athlete with good football instincts. Ross has outstanding potential and knows what it takes to win.”
