Sheldon, Iowa — Ryan Van Marel of Sheldon has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at South Dakota State next fall.
Van Marel, a 6’5″ offensive and defensive lineman, played varsity football for three years for the Sheldon Orabs, and led the team in tackles his junior and senior seasons. Ryan earned all district honors in 2016 and 2017. A multi-sport athlete, Van Marel also earned all conference honors in basketball in 2016 and qualified for state in the discus last year.
