Sheldon Iowa — The Village Northwest Unlimited Panthers are excited to announce the basketball season is upon us. Their scrimmage schedule has been released and area sports fans and Panther fans are encouraged to come out and enjoy a game.
In previous years, the Panthers have scrimmaged at area basketball games including Sheldon High School, Dordt College in Sioux Center, and Northwestern College in Orange City.
Here’s the schedule for this year:
Friday, December 4: at Sheldon High School (Half time of the Boys Varsity game-7:45 PM)
Saturday, December 12: Away vs. Sioux City Knights at 9:00 am at First Lutheran Church (3939 Cheyenne, Sioux City)
*Wednesday, January 6: at Morningside College vs. Sioux City Knights (Half time of the Men’s game-8:00 PM)
Saturday, January 16: Home vs. Sioux City Knights at 9:00 am (VNU, Sheldon)
Friday, January 29: at Sheldon High School (Half time of the Girls Varsity game-6:15 PM)
Saturday, February 6: West Region Basketball Tournament (State Qualifying Tournament) All day event at West Harrison High School
*Wednesday, February 10: at Northwestern College (Half time of Women’s game-6:00 PM & Men’s game- 8:00 PM)
*Saturday, February 20: at Dordt College (Half time of Women’s game-2:00 PM & Men’s game- 4:00 PM)
If the Village Panthers qualify, the State Basketball Tournament is March 11-12, 2016 in Iowa City, Iowa along with any athlete that makes it for individual basketball skills.
