Hull Iowa — Western Christian opened tournament play with a 69-42 quarterfinal win over Boyden Hull Tuesday night at the Western Christian Gym. Western will host West Lyon in a Friday 2A Region 1 semifinal. The Wildcats advanced with a 48-42 win over Central Lyon.

Western opened with a 29-4 first quarter lead and rode that momentum the rest of the way. At the half the Wolfpack led 46-15. It was 60-25 at the end of the third quarter.
The Wolfpack had four players in double figures led by a game high 18 from Jessi De Jager. Ashtyn Veerbeek had 13. Abby Postma pumped in 11 with Emma Bousema having a 10 point night.
The Comets had three players in double figures led by Mallory Nilles with 12 points. Brianna Kleinwolterink hit for 11 with Brooke Zylstra knocking down 10.
With the win Western Christian improves to 20-3 on the year. Boyden Hull ends the season at 11-12.
