He was also named to the Des Moines Register All-State team as a tight end/wide receiver and earned all-Northwest Iowa Review honors. Zeutenhorst also earned all-conference honors in basketball and is the son of Dan Zeutenhorst and Deb Ver Hoef.

“Brendan is a phenomenal athlete,” said Northwestern head football coach Matt McCarty. “He is one of the top players in Northwest Iowa and we are excited to have him become a Red Raider. Brendan ranked first in all of class 2A in touchdown receptions and will be a great weapon in our offense.”
