Airport jet

Date posted - August 5, 2014

Has any one at all taken note of the jet at the airport. It really looks nice, thanks to the local scouts, just one of the many groups that help to make Sheldon look nice. It takes a lot of time and money to make these projects happen, and a lot of free labor. Our city crews are busy doing their thing and do not get a lot of attention. So if you see a volunteer, or a city crew working, stop and say a good job, or how much you appreciate it, there seems to be a lot of criticism and very little I appreciate you. Lets change that, and while you are at it say Hi to a stranger on the street, and say something nice. This will go a long way towards making someones day a happy one.

    Hi Fisherman :)

I did notice it, as we live out near the airport and drive by it several times a day. In fact it looks so nice we at first thought it was a new jet! I had no idea who did the work but a BIG thank you and congratulations on a job well done! Maybe a news article would bring more attention to it? I am positive the public will notice the changes during Sheldon’s Celebration Days fly-in breakfast. It would be nice if whomever did the improvements would have a display board by the jet showing the before and after and also acknowledging those that were involved.

Again thank you to the volunteers that worked on this project and all those that may give of their time to other projects in the community. Although it may go unspoken at times, your efforts and hard work do NOT go unnoticed!

Nice job! Appreciate the effort put into this by the Scouts! The world is in good hands if we continue to raise young people who are willing to do their part to help a community with projects like this. Also like the landscaping they did at the museum.
