You might have observed Timmy, that this discussion ground to a halt one month ago as the initial knee-jerk reaction to Sandy Hook, was revealed as more of a kick-the-can approach at the federal level.

While the feds have not embarked on any earthshaking crusades, several states have in-fact approved or introduced legislation banning guns, and criminalizing gun owners who have done no wrong.

Did you read the Nazi Weapons Law of 1938 before claiming expanded gun rights to Jews?

Its really funny, the President has done NOTHING up to this point to take your guns away. NOTHING. But you people act like it has already happened. Also comparing Obama to Hitler is not the way to go about it. Did you know, (and I am guessing you didn’t because you made the comparison) is that Hitler actually expanded gun rights to people (Germans and Jews and other minorities of the time period) yes you read that right and can even look it up in any history book. Now I am not defending anything else Hitler did at all. But if your going to make the comparison at least do some reseach first. BTW Obama has yet to do anything about gun control. But your so worried about the slightlest inkling that he could do something your all up in arms about it.

I would agree with you also, there is a difference. However, Mr. Obama himself called them Executive Orders that he would sign. I am glad he chose to change that wording. There are also several items he has raised that he is going to ask congress to pass, that have not gotten much attention. We will see how it all comes down. I also agree the media makes a mess of al whole lot of things. That is why we need to do our own research, and sometimes that doesn’t even pan out correct.

Jon, Thanks for explaining the difference between “action” and “order”. I did not know there was a difference, however I read the list of actions when it came out, and did not see cause for alarm when there was no order for an outright ban.

I did find #16 interesting: Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.

I believe the wording in the ACA states that patients are not required to answer that question.
