Fire Damaged Dwelling

Date posted - November 19, 2013

I observed the house on 4th ave. destroyed by fire Sunday night. Will it become another site like the bowling alley? Maybe the orange fencing left over from the street project could be recycled and used to wrap around the property until something is determined and action taken to clean it up.

Can the city do something about the bowling alley.

Usually when there is litigation, they have to wait until the lawsuits are finalized before they can begin repairs. On the house fire, hopefully it will be fixed soon, as there probably aren’t any lawsuits on it. In these older houses, there are some with outdate wiring, knob and tube, that isn’t as safe as the newer wires. I sometimes wonder if that’s what causes a lot of the house fires.

So the bowling alley could just sit there for years? What about the old A & W?

The old a and w is being turned into a Mexican restaurant.

I’ve heard of all the mission trips taken to third world countries to help different people. Seems to me Sheldon has a local need. I’m sure that family without a house during this time of the year would take any help offered.
