Litter Bugs

Date posted - May 27, 2014

On Saturday afternoon I witnessed a woman stop her vehicle @ a stop sign in a residential part of Sheldon. She opened the driver’s door & looked about. She then proceeded to dump a styrofoam cup, straws & paper napkins on the street & drive away.

Clearly to this individual it’s not a big thing but….really??? In this day & age when trash recepticles are all over the community, in our garages & homes (and often a spare plastic grocery bag in our own vehicles) is it REALLY necessary to dump our trash on the streets?

Let’s all do our part to keep our community beautiful! It is the little things that make a difference!

I would have honked my horn to get her attention to let her know her actions were noticed. I also would have taken down her license plate and let the police know. Maybe they could have stopped her.

Well, I’m really sorry to hear this happens in your town. Maybe, the woman didn’t have time to ride out in the farm country where she could pitch it along with her tires,tv,refrig., and the list just goes on. But it’s okay , because us farm folks will just pick it up !!!!!
