Sheldon Celebration Days 2021 A Huge Success

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon Celebration Days took place this past weekend and by all accounts the annual celebration was a rousing success.

Sheldon SCDC Chamber Director Shantel Oostra says Friday afternoon’s clouds and cool temperatures failed to dampen the enthusiasm for a new attraction this year, the Downtown Block Party.

She says there were great crowds on hand for this year’s Celebration Days Activities.

Monday is always the biggest day of Sheldon’s Celebration Days, and this year was no exception. With a multitude of activities and displays at the City Park and the Old Railroad Depot, and the Classic Car Show in front of the high school. Oostra says she was amazed at the near-record crowds who came out on Monday.

With Sheldon Celebration Days 2021 in the books, Oostra says now it’s time to turn attention to planning for the 2022 celebration, which will be part of Sheldon’s 150th Anniversary celebration.
