Good for you! You are right about being wary of who your friends are, I have learned that the ones you think are your friends are the same ones stabbing you in the back. Protect yourself, and your kids and remember that the “wolf” is dressed in sheep’s clothing, and will NEVER tell you the truth!

The original question was, “Where were the parents?”, thus the mention that these “kids” are in fact legal adults themselves and they do not require additional adult supervision. Whether their decisions were legal or not is irrelevant.

Thanks Sharon. Appreciate your “concern”. I don’t have to defend myself, my children or my actions. I know where I was that night. Sounds like you have a problem with that. What I have learned from this whole thing is to be wary of who you think your friends are.

Being the age of 18 and able to vote and a “legal adult” is irrelevant. The legal drinking age in Iowa is 21. They broke the law.
