Agriculture Teachers Needed

There is a major push to get people interested in agricultural education. This hits close to home, as I received an agricultural education degree and taught vocational agriculture for two-and-a-half years in a rural community, in Western Oklahoma.

The case for getting more agriculture teachers to bring the industry to the classroom and give life skills, as well as career opportunities to young men and women.

The need to keep the best and brightest students in rural areas has always been a challenge, but perhaps never more so than today. That is why the need for inspiring Ag teachers is so keen. Ellen Thompson, director of the National Teach Ag Campaign, is putting out the call.
