IARN — The American Farm Bureau Federation’s 103rd annual convention is just around the corner.
Farm Bureau officials are gearing up for the big event January 7-12 in Atlanta, Georgia. This week, Farm Bureau announced the convention’s keynote speakers. Events Marketing Manager Niki Jones says the convention speaker lineup will lead off with AFBF’s executive leader.
“Our first is President Zippy Duvall. He’ll be speaking at our opening general session. At our afternoon general session that same Sunday, we’ve got Jim Murphy who is the founder and chairman of Afterburner, also a former F-15 instructor pilot. He’s going to have a motivational speech for us. And then Monday January 10, we have comedian Jeff Allen. He is going to use some of his rapid-fire humor to entertain us at our closing general session.”
Jones explains there is a variety of content for attendees including educational workshops.
“We have 20 of them this year across four different tracks, some really great content and we’re working on getting some really great speakers for those as well. As always, we have our flapjack fundraiser on Sunday morning. So, we encourage people to get those tickets before they sell out. And also, new this year, we are doing the AFBF Celebration: A College Football Experience at the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame on Monday night.”
Jones talks about a virtual option for people who cannot attend the convention in-person.
“We have the option of anyone who doesn’t choose to travel to Atlanta can join us virtually. You can register for the virtual sessions, and a select amount of content will be available virtually, both live and then for days following the show as well.”
