Corn Growers Plant, Harvest and Battle Government

Statewide Iowa — (IARN) — The corn harvest is just about over in Iowa, but the issues of being a corn grower never end.

Trade, regulation, ethanol and a long list are on the agenda of the National Corn Growers Association. I spoke with Lynn Chrisp, of Nebraska, who serves as chairman of the National Corn Growers Association. Chrisp addresses the major concerns of the association.

The National Corn Growers Association holds a yield contest each year. It was announced this week that the new world record went to David Hula, from Virginia. He took back his record at 616 bushels per acre on the official contest plot.
