Crops Growing Well, Conditions Vary With Location, Moisture

Northwest Iowa — The crop is in the ground and has been growing for about a month. But crop conditions vary across northwest Iowa, with the biggest factor being the amount of moisture received.

That’s from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Crop Field Specialist Joel De Jong, who gives us a crop update.

De Jong gives us a look at the long-term moisture picture.

De Jong tells farmers that now would be a good time to scout their fields for pests and other issues.

You can always contact De Jong for more information at the Plymouth County Extension office in Le Mars.
