Statewide Iowa — The average price received by farmers for corn during July in Iowa was $4.11 per bushel according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service – Agricultural Prices report. This was up 16 cents from the June price and 70 cents above July 2018.

The July 2019 average price received by farmers for soybeans, at $8.38 per bushel, was up 10 cents from the June price but 77 cents below the July 2018 price.

The July average oat price per bushel was $3.60, down 11 cents from June but $1.23 above July 2018.

All hay prices in Iowa averaged $112.00 per ton in July. This was down $26.00 from the June price but $9.00 above the July 2018 price. The July 2019 alfalfa hay price averaged $123.00, down $18.00 from the previous month but $17.00 above July 2018. The average price received for other hay during July was $95.00 per ton. This was down $35.00 from the June price and $2.00 below the July 2018 price.

The average price was $18.70 per cwt for milk, up 50 cents from the June price and $3.30 above one year ago.
