SUMMARY:Explore Earth and Science at the Prairie Heritage Center
DESCRIPTION:Earth & Space is the theme of the new exhibit at the Prairie Heritage Center.  This event is part of a nationwide celebration of educational programs designed to engage audiences in the awe-inspiring fields of Earth and space science.  It is an opportunity to connect with current NASA science research and explore Earth and science phenomena. \nThe temporary exhibit is located in the lower level of the Prairie Heritage Center\, 4931 Yellow Ave\, and includes hands-on activities\, interactive displays and informative materials.  There are take-home crafts to make and experiments to try.  You won’t want to miss this chance to learn more about Earth and space!  Watch for special public programs taking place throughout 2019 for a chance to dig deeper into the fields of Earth science and astrophysics! \nThe Earth & Space project is led by Arizona State University\, in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).  Explore Science: Earth & Space tool kits – like the one used in this exhibit – are developed and distributed nationwide by the National Informal STEM Education Network (NISE Net).  Throughout spring and summer 2019\, events are taking place at 350 museums and institutions throughout the country.  The Prairie Heritage Center is excited to bring this opportunity to people in Northwest Iowa. \nVisit the Prairie Heritage Center on Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.  The center is open on Saturdays from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.  Beginning May 5th\, through October 27th\, the center is also open on Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. \nFor more information\, contact the Prairie Heritage Center at 712-295-7200.
