SUMMARY:Monarchs on the Move Event
DESCRIPTION:Monarch migration will soon be starting!  Single butterflies will begin to gather in MASS.  Millions of monarchs will be on the move.  The O’Brien County Conservation Board is hosting the annual monarch tagging event at Mill Creek Park on Thursday\, September 5th beginning at 5:30 p.m. \nBring your butterfly net or borrow one of ours!  Meet at the lodge for a short program on monarchs\, their life story and amazing migratory journey.  Then hit the trail for a citizen science project.  Participants will be placing small tags on the butterflies’ wings which will allow data to be returned to scientists studying the monarch migration. \nCome and be a part of this event!  Call the Prairie Heritage Center – 712-295-7200 for more information.
