DESCRIPTION:One of the first flowers of spring\, the daffodil is the symbol of hope. You can purchase a bunch of daffodils for $10.00\, a bunch and a vase for $15.00\, a 4-inch potted dainty for $10.00\,or a new item this year is a 4-inch potted hyacinth for $10.00 donation. All orders are pre-paid. Proceeds from the sale of daffodils will go toward Relay For Life to be held in Sheldon on Tuesday\, June 9. SUMMARY:Camp Autumn Ice Fishing Tournament & Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Seasons Center for Behavioral Health and Camp Autumn are hosting an Ice Fishing Tournament & Fundraiser at Camp Autumn near Sutherland on Saturday\, February 15\, 2020. This event is a free will donation event and is open to the public\, though registration is encouraged. Visit https://bit.ly/3afBKU0 to learn more. \nThis event is a release tournament\, which means fish will be released back into the lake. The prize categories will be based on length for the following species: bass\, catfish\, crappie\, and other panfish. The tournament and fundraiser will feature a kids’ fishing clinic\, ice fishing tournament for all levels\, and an open warehouse with a complimentary chili lunch provided by Grace United Methodist Church. Black Earth Java of Spencer will be on-site with their coffee trailer to provide coffee\, cocoa\, and cider throughout the entire tournament. This event benefits scholarships for children to attend Camp Autumn\, a therapeutic camp for children in northwest Iowa. \n“This event is for the competitive angler\, the family who wants to try something new\, and everyone in between!” said Katie Ping\, Marketing and Events Coordinator at Seasons Center. “We’re excited to see all ages and all skill levels out on the ice enjoying our private lake out at Camp Autumn.” \nThis event is supported by the Iowa Great Lakes Fishing Club\, who will be handling the tournament aspects\, as well as the kids’ fishing clinic. Additionally\, the event is sponsored by Oak Hill Outdoor in Milford and Black Earth Java in Spencer. Prizes are donated by Oak Hill Outdoor\, Stan’s Bait & Tackle\, and Fisherman’s Factory Outlet. \n“This is an exciting event for Camp Autumn!” said Adam Lybarger\, Camp Director at Camp Autumn. “We are thrilled to open up our private lake and give people from our local communities an opportunity to fish here for the first time. There is a lot of work that goes into an event like this\, and we couldn’t do it without the help and support of our sponsors.
