SUMMARY:Eagle Watch
DESCRIPTION:Watching a majestic bald eagle soar overhead is a breathtaking sight.  During our annual survey earlier in January\, we spotted a record number of eagles in the valley.  At the beginning of March\, the resident bald eagles are mixing with other eagles traveling through the area. In addition\, many other raptors are also on the move in the Little Sioux River Valley. \nAll of this activity comes just in time for the annual Bald Eagle Watch on Saturday\, March 7 at the Prairie Heritage Center.  This event is a come-and-go opportunity to observe eagles throughout the day.  The O’Brien County Naturalist and other volunteers will be on hand to help you spot and identify eagles. \nAt 2:00 p.m.\, Dr. Ross Dirks will be presenting information about falconry.  He will be bringing a live bird with him.  This is a presentation that you won’t want to miss! \nThere will be also be hands on learning activities for people of all ages available throughout the day. \nBring the family for an enjoyable day of viewing eagles and learning more about them.  The Prairie Heritage Center is located one mile off of Hwy 10 at 4931 Yellow Ave.  Stop by throughout the day from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. \nContact the Prairie Heritage Center at 712-295-7200 for more information about this exciting program.

DESCRIPTION:It is almost time for our 3rd Annual Bean Bag Tournament to raise funds for Relay For Life of O’Brien County IA. All registration sales go directly to Relay For Life and American Cancer Society! \nDouble elimination team tournament\nBest of 3 rounds – “Traditional 21” game – the first team to reach or exceed 21 points wins the game – normal cancellation scoring – $20 per team entry fee \nThis is an adult tournament\, so 21+ please. \n**We will allow player under 21 to participate but players must be able to throw from the regulation line and must have approval from event hosts. \nOver $500 in Sheldon Dollars to the top 4 spots\n1st Place: $250 Sheldon Dollars\n2nd Place: $130 Sheldon Dollars\n3rd: $80 Sheldon Dollars\n4th Place: $40 Sheldon Dollars \nTo register online please click here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/3rd-annual-cornhole-for-a-cure-tickets-90644154105.
