SUMMARY:Freedom Days 5K Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:George Recreation Trail hosts Annual Freedom Days Fun Run and Walk \nThe George Recreational Trail Committee is proud to announce that they will be hosting a “5k Fun Run” in conjunction with the annual Freedom Days festivities. The run will be held on Saturday\, July 1 at 8:00 a.m. with packet pick-up encouraged Friday\, June 30 between 4:00 – 6:00. For non-runners\, there is also a non-timed 1-mile walk option. Awards will be given to the top 3 5k finishers in each age & gender bracket. The race will be held on the Recreation Trail\, with the race beginning at the intersection of L-14 and A-34 (also known as Locker Pond). All proceeds will go toward Rec Trail improvements.
