DESCRIPTION:Sheldon Community Schools will offer a free Summer Lunch Program from June 1st through August 14th at East Elementary. \nMeals will be served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.\, and families are asked to use the north door when arriving. \nChildren 18 and under eat free\, and busing is available at in‑town bus stops. DESCRIPTION:River’s Bend in Rock Valley will host a Father’s Day Pancakes & Panfish event on Saturday\, June 20th. \nA pancake feed begins at 8 a.m. with a free‑will donation benefiting the Rock Valley Ambulance Association. Fishing starts at 10 a.m. at the pond. \nAll ages are welcome\, with children 8 and under requiring an adult. Poles and bait are provided\, or participants may bring their own. Those 16 and older must have a valid Iowa fishing license to actively fish. There is no cost\, and entrance fees are waived for participants. Fishing preregistration is required by calling River’s Bend Campground at 712‑476‑6065.
