SUMMARY:Season's Center 3rd Annual FREE Kids Carnival
DESCRIPTION:Seasons Center for Behavioral Health is hosting a free kids’ carnival on Thursday\, September 26\, 2019 from 4:00 -7:00 PM in Spencer. This free\, family-friendly event is open to the entire community and families of all ages are welcome. \n“The purpose of this carnival is to provide a fun-filled event for the whole community\, while sharing resources that are available to those in need\,” said Katie Ping\, Marketing and Events Coordinator at Seasons Center. “We’ll have all of your carnival favorites like face painting\, inflatables\, some amazing prizes\, concessions\, and games!” \nThe kids’ carnival will celebrate the three-year anniversary of the opening of Autumn’s Center and promote positive mental health through a family-friendly event. \nSeasons Center for Behavioral Health has received funding from the Clay County Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Iowa Department of Public Health to host this kids’ carnival at Autumn’s Center. Autumn’s Center has served 2\,368 children since it opened in October of 2016. \nThe free kids’ carnival will take place at Autumn’s Center at 120 E. 5th Street in Spencer. If necessary\, updates regarding weather will be posted to Seasons Center’s Facebook page.

DESCRIPTION:The O’Brien County Conservation Board has been offering a variety of events to celebrate space this year. The next event on the calendar is “Earth’s Shadows.” This event will be held at the Prairie Heritage Center\, 4931 Yellow Avenue\, on Thursday\, September 26 beginning at 6:30 p.m. \nParticipants will explore how the earth makes shadows as the sun begins to set. Did you know that you can tell time by looking at the eastern sky as the sun goes down?
