SUMMARY:Community Band In Windmill Park
DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, June 15\, The Orange City Arts Council invites the Orange City Area Community Band to perform live in Windmill Park from 7:00 P.M. –  8:30 P.M. \nThe Community Band is a favorite group amongst the residents of Northwest Iowa. Through bringing multiple different musical genres to the stage\, they attract nearly every generation and fabricate enticing melodies. The band is a group of local musicians under the direction of MOC-Floyd Valley High School band director\, Dan Mangold. There are about 30 members and they will often recruit more. \nThe band consists of members in the community that have a wide range of both ages and music ability levels. No matter the different backgrounds or experiences\, they have built a philosophy that music can be a regular part of everyday life for everyone. Whether it’s a traditional classical tune\, or a new vibrant melody\, music can have a tremendous impact on the way people live their lives. \nThe Orange City Community Band will play and cover songs from movies\, big band hits\, show tunes and patriotic songs all with a unique\, personal touch. Their efforts are an important part of Orange City’s OnStage program and promoting the arts to the community. Band members are paid for their rehearsals and performances and get to experience the delight in sharing live music with each other and the public. To find out more\, visit www.orangecityarts.org. \nThe mission of Orange City Arts is to enrich our community by showcasing artists\, facilitating arts education\, and supporting local creative talent. \nPhoto credit: Community Band
