This exhibit is open to the public and free to attend\, offering a splendid array of watercolor artworks from talented artists across Iowa. \nCome to Northwestern College on October 18th at 6:30 p.m.\, NWC Vogel Room (NWC DeWitt Library\, 2nd Floor) for a reception and special ‘The Art of Watercolor’ talk by renowned watercolor artist Judy Thompson. This event is a unique opportunity to gain insights into the world of watercolor painting from an expert in the field. Free will donation. Light refreshments will be served. Reception is open 6-8 pm.

DESCRIPTION:Note: Due to flooding the location will change. Stay tuned! \nOak Grove Park is partnering with Sioux Prairie Pheasants Forever and the Rock Valley Gun Club to give 12- to 15-year-old Iowa residents who have passed their hunter education courses a great pheasant hunt experience. \nThe day will start withe a breakfast and a quick review of hunter safety and trap shooting. The shooter will be paired with mentor and hunting dog. The shooter and mentor will travel in groups to local hunting areas\, both public and private\, for the morning. \nFollowing the hunt\, youth and mentors will return to the Rock Valley Gun Club for lunch. Only a limited number will be taken\, so you must preregister for the lunch. Go to mycountyparks.com for registration and emergency forms. The event runs from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
