SUMMARY:Controlled burn in Sheldon
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 7th the Sheldon Fire Company will be doing a controlled burn of a house at 415 W Park St\, on Highway 18. \nThe training will begin at 7:00 a.m. and hopefully be completed by noon hour. With the training fire being located along a main highway with heavy traffic. Highway 18 will be detoured. \nWith the assistance from the Iowa DOT\, the detour route will be at highway 18 and 2nd Ave (Old 60) south on 2nd Ave to 16th St/330th St around NCC on Marsh to Highway 18. \nShould the Sheldon Fire Company have to postpone the burn\, the backup date is June 14th.

Participants can choose from a 1-mile walk/wheelchair roll\, a 5K race\, or a 10K race.
