SUMMARY:Youth Mentor Hunt at Oak Grove Park
DESCRIPTION:Join Oak Grove Park Saturday\, October 18th\, as they partner with Sioux Prairie Pheasants Forever and Rock Valley Gun Club to give 12- to 15-year-olds in Iowa who have passed their hunter education course a great pheasant hunt experience. \nThe day will start with breakfast and a quick review of hunter safety and trap shooting. The youth will be paired with a mentor and a hunting dog. The child and mentor will travel in groups to local hunting areas\, both public and private\, for the morning. \nFollowing the hunt\, the child and mentor will return to the Rock Valley Gun Club for lunch. Only a limited number will be taken\, so you must pre-register. Please refer to www.mycountyparks.com for registration and emergency forms. The event runs from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
