Orange City, Iowa — An Arizona man was arrested on an OWI charge after an accident near Orange City.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 3:20 AM on Friday, July 3, 47-year-old James Allen of Glendale, AZ was driving a 2015 Dodge Journey westbound on Highway 10, a half mile east of Orange City when he lost control of the vehicle and it entered the south ditch.
No injuries were reported.
The Dodge sustained approximately $2,000 in damages.
Upon further investigation, deputies suspect that Allen was under the influence of alcohol. As a result, Allen was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, second offense.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Orange City Police Department.
