Rock Rapids, Iowa — A two vehicle accident caused major front end damage to one of the vehicles in an accident in Rock Rapids on Tuesday, November 10th.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department reports that at about 3:40 pm on Tuesday, 59-year-old David Fields of Rock Rapids was driving a 2004 Ford pickup and trailer eastbound on 5th Avenue in Rock Rapids. Sixty-six-year-old Barbara Foltz of Rock Rapids was driving a 2012 Buick northbound on Marshall Street. According to the report, Fields failed to yield the right-of-way and entered the intersection and was struck by Foltz.
The pickup received $2000 damage. The Buick received $10,000 damage.
No injuries were reported.
