Larchwood, Iowa — A Primghar man was taken to a hospital after an accident between Inwood and Larchwood.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, at about 11:30 a.m., 19-year-old Tilly DeJong of Sioux Center was westbound on 180th Street (A26) when she is alleged to have pulled out from the stop sign in front of a vehicle driven by 67-year-old Dale Thompson of Primghar.
The Lyon County Ambulance took Thompson to an area hospital. De Jong didn’t report any injuries.
DeJong’s 2011 Ford Escape and Thompson’s 2012 Ford Explorer were both totaled.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office tells us the Larchwood Fire Department, Larchwood Emergency Medical Services (LEMS), the Lyon County Ambulance Squad, and TrackSide Towing from Alvord assisted with the response to the accident.
