Six Arrested On Drug & Weapon Trafficking Charges, Three From Sioux County

Orange City, Iowa — Three Sioux County residents and three from another Iowa community have been arrested as the culmination of an investigation into illegal drug and weapons trafficking.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Monday, December 30, several arrests occurred as a result of a joint investigation between the Sioux Center Police Department and the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office. They report that 48-year-old Efrain Ramirez of Sioux Center, 43-year-old Alberto Hernandez of Rock Valley, and 23-year-old Juan Marques of Orange City were arrested, along with 45-year-old Gary Stallings, 33-year-old Kandi Senski, and 29-year-old Jehsi Boren, all of Battle Creek.

Sheriff’s officials tell us the arrests stemmed from a more than month-long investigation into drug and weapon trafficking. Several search warrants were simultaneously executed at area residences and a dairy, and illegal drugs and weapons were recovered.

All those arrested were transported to the Sioux County Jail where Ramirez was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and one count of child endangerment; Hernandez was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of child endangerment; Marques was charged with delivery of a controlled substance; Stallings was charged with trafficking stolen weapons, second-degree theft and felon in possession of a firearm; Senski was charged with trafficking stolen firearms; Boren was charged with trafficking stolen weapons, second-degree theft, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of burglary tools.

Several of the charges are felonies.

Assisting in the execution of search warrants were the Tri-County Cert Team, Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T Team, Iowa State Patrol Tactical Team, Orange City Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
