Rock Valley, Iowa — A Le Mars woman was taken to a hospital after an accident on Thursday near Rock Valley.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 2:45 PM, 48-year-old Sue Jennings of Le Mars was driving a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser southbound on Elmwood Avenue, two miles south of Rock Valley, when she lost control of the vehicle, which entered the west ditch and rolled.
Jennings was transported by the Rock Valley Ambulance to Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley.
The Chrysler sustained approximately $7,000 in damages.
Jennings was cited for failing to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Rock Valley Fire Department, Rock Valley Ambulance crew, and the Rock Valley Police Department.
