Sioux Center, Iowa — Two Hull residents complained of injury in an accident in Sioux Center on Sunday, November 8th.
The Sioux Center Police Department reports that at about 9:31 AM on Sunday, 32-year-old Steven Spaans was driving a 2010 Ford F150 southbound on Highway 75. Forty-year-old Jeremy Jansen of Hull was driving a 2007 Chevy Silverado southbound on Highway 75 with 10-year-old Reagan Jansen riding in the vehicle as well. According to the report, Jansen was stopped in the 200 block of Highway 75 behind another vehicle that was waiting for pedestrians that were crossing Highway 75 in the crosswalk. Spaans was traveling on Highway 75 and collided into the rear of Jansen.
The Ford received $12,000 damage; the Chevy received $8,000 damage.
Jeremy Jansen complained of pain after the accident. Reagan Jansen complained of pain as well.
Spaans was cited on a charge of Following too Closely.
