911 Call Leads To Felony Arrest Of George Man

George, Iowa — A 911 call reporting a fight in George Friday night resulted in a felony charge against a 19-year-old George man.

According to court records, Lyon County Deputies responded to the report of a man allegedly beating a woman, before dragging her into a garage. When deputies arrived, they report that the man, identified as Four Lewi of George, ignored deputies’ demands to unlock the garage door, before finally complying.

Court records indicate that the deputies discovered Lewi and his live-in girlfriend inside the garage, with the female reportedly exhibiting injuries including, what deputies described as, “defined strangulation marks” around her neck, as well as numerous scratches.

Lewi was placed under arrest and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Impeding Air/Blood Flow Causing Bodily Injury.

At last report, Lewi remained in the Lyon County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 cash only bond.
