Archer Man Accused Of Assault Causing Injury At Jail

Primghar, Iowa — An Archer man staying at the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar faces a felony charge in connection with a recent assault at the jail.

According to a criminal complaint filed with the O’Brien County Clerk of Court, in addition to his other charges, 22-year-old Walker Hollenbeck is now charged with assault causing serious injury, a class D felony.

The deputy’s statement says Hollenbeck is accused of punching the victim several times. According to the narrative, Hollenbeck allegedly did not intend to inflict serious injury but caused serious injury nonetheless.

If convicted of the class D felony, Hollenbeck could face up to five years in prison.

He faces a preliminary hearing on the charge on November 28th, and arraignment on his original charges on December 12th.
