Authorities Seek Information On Blue Minivan That Allegedly Caused Accident

Sioux Center, Iowa — A Worthington, Minnesota man was injured in an accident on Wednesday, and Sioux County authorities are looking for another vehicle that he says caused the accident.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday, July 15, about 4:25 p.m., 28-year-old Dayton Williamson of Worthington was driving a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup eastbound on 370th Street, near Hickory Avenue, three miles northeast of Sioux Center. He reported a northbound blue minivan on Hickory Avenue failed to yield from the stop sign and entered westbound onto 370th Street, causing him to swerve to avoid striking it and lose control of his vehicle, which entered the north ditch and rolled.

The pickup he was driving sustained about $2,000 in damage.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Sioux Center Police Department, Sioux Center Ambulance Squad, and the Sioux Center Fire Department.
