Car Totaled In Paullina Fire On Monday Morning

Paullina, Iowa– A car was totaled in a fire on Monday, November 12, 2018, in Paullina.

According to Paullina Fire Chief Brent Noteboom, about 6:00 a.m., the Paullina Fire Department was called to the report of a vehicle fire at 212 South Main Street in Paullina.

The chief says the fire department saw fire in the engine compartment as they approached the scene. He says they used a fire extinguisher to fight the fire.

Noteboom says no injuries were reported. He says the cause of the fire is undetermined.

Chief Noteboom reports that the fire totaled the early 2000’s sedan.

He says the nine firefighters who responded were on scene for about 15 minutes.
